The creators of popular crypto: who are they and what are they known for?
Cryptocurrencies are the creation of human hands and they did not arise from air and space dust. Although digital money is a virtual phenomenon, its creators are very real people, some even public figures. Who are they: geniuses who gave the world a monetary revolution, or seekers of profit who do not care about the universal well-being at all? In this article, we recall those who stood at the origins of famous cryptocurrencies and find out what they managed to earn on their creations.
Satoshi Nakamoto - Bitcoin
When it comes to the creator of the crypto currency, then most often comes to mind one name - Satoshi Nakamoto. The same name is the greatest mystery of the whole crypto community, because to this day it has not been established whether Nakamoto was a human, a group of people or an alien intellect. Many attempts have been made to find Satoshi and, despite the fact that the press has already found hundreds of "real Nakamoto", the real bitcoin developer remains anonymous.
As you know, it was a certain Satoshi Nakamoto who published the first article about bitcoin in October 2008 and it was he who oversaw the project until 2010, until he was summoned for interrogation by the CIA. Of course, he did not go to the feds and, moreover, disappeared without a trace - there is no information about the location of the developer at this moment. We must pay tribute to this character - Satoshi is not only a genius in that he came up with the first cryptocurrency, but is also a real conspiracy genius! During the development of the project, he collaborated with various IT specialists, but even they do not know who Nakamoto is. In order to invite Satoshi to their guests, the CIA had to pass the call for interrogation through one of the assistants, who, like everyone else, did not see any Nakamoto in his eyes.
You can safely be sure that humanity does not know anything about the bitcoin developer at all. In his profile on the P2P Foundation, Satoshi indicated that he is a Japanese and he is 37 years old, but for some reason the bit software does not even have a Japanese version, and all Nakamoto records are presented in perfect English. Something suggests that this Japanese actually has other roots.
If Nakamoto is a specific person, not a secret service or IT-mafia, as many think, why did he need to create a cryptocurrency? According to Satoshi himself, his goal was to come up with money for the poor, and apparently, this goal failed - although many became out of the blue millionaires, bitcoin is as inaccessible to the poor as flying to the moon in a balloon. Nevertheless, one poor person (or several at once) has definitely enriched himself at the expense of bitcoin - Satoshi himself mined from 1 to 2 million bitcoins, which he took with him into the unknown.
The desperate attempts of the public to find Nakamoto did not succeed, but today there is a circle of people who are "under suspicion": "
Nick Szabo - back in 1998, he came up with an analogue of digital money, which he called Bit Gold, but it did not go beyond the stories, the project was not realized. Sabo himself claims that he does not know any bitcoin, nor his whole brotherhood, and did not create any coins. But no matter how the American himself did not disown the crypto currency, it still seems very fortuitous that before the birth of an article on bitcoin in 2008, Nick wrote in his blog that he intended to implement the idea of digital currency.
Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto - another candidate, who came up under the person of the creator of bitcoin with a name and ancestry. Actually, if you enter the search for "Satoshi Nakamoto", then the human images in the issue - this is the photo of Dorian, who, although he denies the connection with bitcoin, is now forever connected with the crypto currency due to a loud scandal. An American of Japanese origin had previously worked for the CIA and, surprisingly, was well informed about the crypto currency. Besides, it's very strange that Dorian, having retired, leads a practically beggarly way of life (where did you see such a thing that a former CIA officer was busting?), He does not know how to correctly express himself in English (yeah, would have taken an illiterate person in the CIA) and in general behaves extremely strange. Nevertheless, the person denies his involvement in the cue ball and threatens to drag them all through the courts, for which, by the way, he collects donations in bitcoins. Very muddy character!
Craig Wright - self-proclaimed Nakamoto, who provided evidence in the form of private keys owned by Satoshi. These keys he presented to Gavin Andersen (to that very assistant of the real Satoshi), and Gavin really confirmed their authenticity. But when it came to publicly presenting evidence, Craig slipped the fake, he was caught in this, after which the machinator returned to his usual life.
Verses about Satoshi Nakamoto's personality are many, but real and irrefutable facts that a great genius among us is not. The only way out is to reconcile with the fact that Satoshi does not want to be a public person and allow him to continue to keep his confidentiality, because he has every right to do this.
Vitalik Buterin: Ethereum
Unlike Nakamoto, the creator of the second most popular crypto currency, Vitalik Buterin, does not hide his real name or his face. He is a public person who not only developed a new crypto currency and a unique smart platform, but also actively introduces its masses. And if you thought that this is some wise old bearded man in solid years, then you are very mistaken - Vitalik is a very young genius with Russian roots, which hardly turned 23 year. Needless to say, from the guy who programmed in C ++ at the age of ten, instead of chasing the ball with his comrades in the yard, it was worth expecting something supernatural. This know-how also became its development, which will very soon deprive the work of bank employees - as Buterin says, banks, like other intermediary organizations, will not be needed very soon.
Many things are known about Buterin, there are hundreds of articles on the Internet about an outstanding boy, who is called digital Lenin for revolutionary ideas. And the great way to create a unique crypto currency started, oddly enough, from bitcoin - Vitalik's father told his son about digital money for the night instead of fairy tales, and the guy was interested in the invention with a joke. Having studied the essence of the cue ball, Buterin realized that this was a great idea, but it was necessary to rewrite it a little. This is how the etherium was born, which became not just a currency, but also a platform of smart contracts designed to change our world for the better.
It is rumored that Buterin and Satoshi Nakamoto are one person, and no one is embarrassed by the fact that Vitalik at the time of the creation of bitcoin was 13-14 years old. He's a genius and already in 10 years programming!
Charles Lee: Litecoin
It is bitcoin that inspired the creation of a new crypto currency and developer of lightcoin Charles Lee. Already two years after the appearance of the cue ball, Charles launched his younger brother, but in no case intended to achieve the success of the main crypto currency or outdo him. He does not have such ambitions, on the contrary, he calls his coin a field for experiments, after all, innovations in lightcoin are very often, after successful approbation, introduced into bitcoin. And yet, according to the developer, lightcoin has a place in the role of the world's payment currency, but modest and only next to the beat.
Charles Lee, like his crypto currency, a man is very modest and there is not much information about him, although the developer willingly gives interviews to various publications. From his biography, it is known that Charles worked at Google, which he left before the creation of his own coin. Today, Lee also has a significant post - he is an employee of the famous service Coinbase. By the way, there are versions that Charles Lee can also be the great genius of Satoshi Nakamoto. But, of course, he denies this fact and the version to the community seems unlikely.
Jed McCaleb - Ripple
The creator of the crypto currency Ripple is a very productive developer. It was he who founded the first exchange crypto-currency called MtGox, but had nothing to do with its loud skam - he left the project even before the stock exchange started active trading in chunks. Next was eDonkey file sharing, and then the OpenCoin project, which was later renamed Ripple. The grandiose idea of McCaleb turned into a commercial product, which is why the main developer left Ripple Labs. Jed McCaleb did not agree with the rigid centralization of the ripple and not only left his offspring, but created him a worthy competitor called Stellar - a new coin based on Ripple, but devoid of its shortcomings.
Not surprisingly, a talented developer is also compared to Nakamoto. Among the main arguments are the propensity of McCaleb to throw their projects, forget about them and quickly switch to other activities.
Evan Duffield - Dash
Initially, Evan intended to name his crypto currency XCoin, but later the name of the coin changed several times. The only thing that remained unchanged was the essence - it was the first truly anonymous crypto currency, which in fact was not much different from bitcoin, but gave users the opportunity to remain unknown. Surprisingly, Dash coins might not have existed if bitcoin developers agreed to include in their code a refinement to anonymize the transactions that Duffield came up with. But the Bitcoin Foundation turned out to be conservative, and they did not intend to change anything in the crypto currency, so Evan had no choice but to use his experience to create another coin, although he was an ardent bitcoach fan.
Surprisingly, nobody accuses Duffield of being Satoshi Nakamoto. After all, it's logical that if Satoshi wanted to make bitcoin completely anonymous, he would do it right away - Nakamoto believed that the existing level of confidentiality is quite enough.
The developers of popular cryptocurrencies came to the creation of coins in different ways and did it for different purposes - but they are all geniuses of their own kind who went down in history during their lifetime. It is very likely that soon we will find out other big names that will be related to the creation of new, revolutionary developments in the virtual money environment. And it doesn't even matter which one of them is the main creator of the cryptocurrency that everyone is desperately looking for - they all made their colossal contribution to the development of the crypto community, and possibly our future.
